One More Page Book Emporium is a specialist children’s bookshop located in the beautiful outback of NSW, Australia in the historic township of Broken Hill.
We are a social enterprise business interested in making a positive social impact. We are the retail businesses of Big Sky Stories and our profits are used to fund the creativity, language and literacy initiatives of this registered charity. In a nutshell, our aim is to provide the children and families of the NSW outback a place to gather and be inspired through sharing the world of books, storytelling and the creative arts.
Big Sky Stories is the brainchild of Jane Vaughan. Jane is a primary school teacher who has taught locally in Broken Hill since 2009. She is passionate about helping children find joy in stories and reading. You can find out more details about our vision and our organisation on the Big Sky Stories website.
We want every child to experience the magic that happens in the space between you, someone you love and a great story. We want every child to grow up be able to read for themselves so they can learn, explore, understand, and access the world around them. Part of making this happen is through access to quality books!
Giving the gift of reading to those around you could be the best gift there is!
If you are a school, preschool or community group looking for advice on the books you need then please contact us. We are ready to assist and can search and recommend books for you.
Here are the ways that you can help us meet the goals of Big Sky Stories:
- Make One More Page Book Emporium your number one bookshop. Remember, when you purchase from us, the profits directly benefit the children and families of far west NSW. If you need a book that we do not have listed on the website, visit the 'Contact & Opening Hours' tab and send us an email. We will be happy to source it and send it to you.
- Use this website to purchase a book for a child that may otherwise not have access to such a valuable resource through our Pay it Forward initiative.
Thank you so much for your support of the children and families of our community.
Happy reading!
Jane
